Sent from my iPhoneAustin has begun phase 1 of his orthodontics. He got spacers today to make room to put on a device to widen his upper jaw (the kind of thing that you turn the key that I used to have). Next week he'll have impressions made to make the device then the week after the device will be put in. After that's done he'll get braces. This phase will take about 18 months, mainly to try to make space and eliminate the need to extract teeth when the rest of his permanent teeth come in.
His upper jaw is so crowded, one tooth can't even come in. He has three teeth that have come in behind the rest of the teeth.
