We celebrated Jackson’s birthday on Saturday with a party at Art Zone in Hermosa Beach. His previous birthday parties have all been at our house but this year we decided to have it at ArtZone and invite his classmates. The kids got to decorate a clay star, paint a treasure box, make glitter hand prints and paint pictures. I made sure to tell both kids to do the art projects first then they would be free to play the rest of the time. I was pleasantly surprised that they both obliged.
Jackson had fun playing with the spray bottles & squeegees, water room and train tracks. Austin and Alex stuck together and made forts with the stuffed animals, jumped around on the bean bags and played with the dinos & squishy goo. Jackson said his favorite part of the party was the water room. Austin said his favorite part was building a fort with the stuffed animals. The majority of the guests were Jackson’s classmates so we got to meet and chat with a lot of parents who we don't usually see at school.
I got Jackson's birthday cake from Ralphs in El Segundo. They have been my birthday cake go-to place for the last three years and they didn’t disappoint! I gave the bakery SuperHero toys and a printout of some superhero cakes (mostly to show color ideas). The cake decorator has impressed me once again!
The party ended with Jackson's name in shaving cream and paint for the kids to squish around with their hands. It was a super fun party!
